2021 Event
In lieu of our annual charity walk, we held another online raffle this year. Once again, we were overwhelmed by the generosity we received, raising close to $9,000 this year for the Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis patients and the Rheumatology Department at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. In addition, we would like to thank our Sponsors: Cisco and OWN NY Real Estate for their continuous support and generosity. We couldn't do it without you!
Congratulations to this year's winners!
Grand Prize: Jeannine Scibilia
2nd Prize: Elaina Basta
3rd Prize: Heather Boivin

2020 Event
The One Where We Were Quarantined
The Linda Basta Memorial Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who donated to this year’s event. In lieu of our annual charity walk at Veteran’s Park in Grand Island, NY, we held an online raffle in order to abide by social distancing requirements. We were overwhelmed by the generosity we received, raising a little over $11,000 for the Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis patients and the Rheumatology Department at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. In addition, we would like to thank our Sponsors: Cisco, Ingram Micro, LISS Technologies, and OWN NY Real Estate for their continued support and generosity.

I would like to extend heartfelt thank you to everyone that participated in this year's charity walk! I was overwhelmed at not only the turn out, but the generosity and support we received! As I've mentioned before, this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart and your contribution (whether through participation or donation) meant more than you'll ever know!
While we didn't exactly get the warm weather we were hoping for, it was definitely an improvement from past years! Also, we added a few new fun aspects to our event such as the Mystery Gift Card Ribbon Pull, the Mystery Prize Box (Congratuations to Cheryl Chamberlain - enjoy your $100 Visa Gift Card!), a Team Donation Competition (Congratuations "Team Green" for raising over $5,000), and Superhero Capes for the kids! That being said, the most memorable moment from this year's event was, undoubtably, the moving presentation from the Green Family and their two beautiful, brave daughters! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us so that we might better understand the purpose behind this event.
I am pleased to announce that The Linda Basta Memorial Foundation will be donating around $10,000 to Children's Hospital this year (double what we donated last year)! This money goes directly to the children and their families in an attempt to allow them to live as normal a life as possible while they fight through this disease, and I am humbled and appreciative of your willingness to be a part of this. Thank you again, and we hope to see you next year! Stay tuned to the website for event and donation updates!

Thank you so much to everyone who gave of their time and money in order to make this year's event as sucessful as it was! I was, once again, absolutely overwhelmed by the turnout and support. I am beyond excited to announce that we were able to donate over $5,000.00 to Children's hospital in memory of my late mother. I know that she would be so pleased to know we were able to help ease the pain of the little ones suffering from Rheumatoid Arthitis through the production of the "Power Packs" funded by our donation.
None of this would have been possible without all of you, so thank you! Thank you Children's Hospital for your support, guidance, and participation. Thank you to to all those who took the time to put together baskets and collected gift cards from local businesses. Thank you to all the business owners and individuals who were generous enough to give, even if you were unable to attend the event. Thank you to all of my student volunteers and close friends who not only attended the event, but worked diligently through the morning and afternoon to make sure everything ran smoothly. Finally, thank you to everyone that came out to participate on the NOT SO SUNNY morning in June and stood by my side as we attempted to fight Rheumatoid Arthritis, one step at a time! I hope that you will consider joining us again next year, and from the bottom of my heart, I humbly thank you!!
